This episode is another Sky Pick. We watch the forgotten 2010 comic book movie Dylan Dog: Dead of Night.
Once again, Sky likes the movie and Jake hates it. We get pretty off topic on this one.
We discuss the voice actor Cree Summer, Jake's new dog, and neither of us can really describe what is happening.
(Mild Spoilers for Thor Ragnarok)
Weary of all the negativity, Jake and Sky start a sidecast where they talk about something they're genuinely excited for.
Here, they discuss the Infinity Was trailer
In this very special episode of Popculture Failure Jake decided we were going to be watching the classic 1990 PSA "Cartoon All-Stars To The Rescue!"
We were repeatedly told that smoking pot would lead to us dying, we try to make sense of the reality of the world in this story, and we try to sound like we know what we're talking about when we discuss drugs.
You can watch it here: https://youtu.be/5hz1UaEVyoo
This week Sky chose a movie to review. It is a movie he actually really loves, and it was kinda nice to hear some positivity even though this movie is pretty dumb.
They watched 1999's Brendan Fraser/ Alfred Molina vehicle : Duddley Do-Right!
We discuss some uncomfortable race stuff, the shockingly sound plan from a cartoon villain, sweet-ass dirt bike stunts, and Alfred Molina's general greatness.
Sky says that if you're not gonna watch this movie, at least youtube the Snidely Whiplash scenes.
We'll see you in two weeks!
Happy month of Halloween! This week Jake and Sky take a break from the normal format and watch a two part episode from a very successful tv show. We watch Goosebumps: The Haunted Mask II parts 1 and 2.
The show may have been a success, but the quality is somewhat lacking...
Anywho, we discuss how 13 year olds are sociopaths, how R.L. Stein is a super nice guy, and we yearn for that elusive town where everyone goes nuts for Halloween.
In this extra episode we talk to Rick Orner.
Rick worked on the set of Ninja Turtles the Next Mutation and has lots of stories for us. It was great having him on!
Check out his website http://www.rickorner.com/
Guys. We did it. We made it through this self imposed burden. We did it together.
This week we watch the final episode of Ninja Turtles The Next Mutation episode 26: Who Needs Her.
As the name implies, the other turtles are super sh**ty to Venus.
We learn that a good tablecloth is all you need to kill a spell, we see how much Bonesteel there was in this series, Jake can't stop fingering his microphone cord, Sky struggles to edit around that, and Venus absolutely cements her title of Most Capable Turtle.
Thanks so much for listening to us as we struggled to figure out this whole "podcasting" thing.
We have a bunch of plans so please stick with us!
Like, Subscribe, Rate, Review!
We move into the homestretch of the series with Unchain my Heart Part 4 of Ninja Turtles the Next Mutation.
Vam-Mi is about out of time and desperate to find her heart.
We discuss the incredible "Willie Whip" from WMAC: Masters, Donetello makes some equipment that makes sense based on the task at hand, the vampires suck at being vampires, and we discuss the endless possibilities as to how this episode could've been awesome.
This week we watch Ninja Turtles the Next Mutation episode 24, Unchain My Heart part 3. The excitement of how good part one was is very much over.
We try to figure out the value of sunscreen to a vampire, learn that "war fireworks" are a thing, Leonardo perfects his stalker skills, and Venus is as done with the other turtles as we are.
